Amazon's Bee Enters AI Wearable Market with Two New Devices
Amazon-owned personal AI company Bee is expanding its hardware lineup with two new devices, marking its first product launch since being acquired by the retail giant. The company introduced the Bee Frontier, a next-generation wearable, and the Bee Eclipse, a smartphone-attachable device. The new products position Bee to compete directly with other AI note-takers like the Plaud Note and Pocket AI, but with a significantly more aggressive entry price point starting at $74.99.
Device Specs, Pricing, and Subscription Model
The Bee Frontier can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothing and is priced at $74.99, available in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage. The larger, credit-card-sized Bee Eclipse attaches magnetically to a smartphone and will sell for $99.99 in Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush. Both devices are designed to capture and summarize daily conversations, turning them into notes, calendar invites, and to-do lists. While all devices offer free conversation summaries and a 14-day memory, an $11.99 per month Bee Pro subscription unlocks unlimited summaries, suggested action items, a personal chat assistant, and integrations with Amazon.com and Alexa+.
- Device: Bee Frontier

- Charging: USB-C

Ecosystem Integration and Privacy Architecture
The new devices deepen Bee's integration into the Amazon ecosystem, allowing users to make purchases or query their AI-generated insights hands-free via Alexa. The platform also connects with third-party productivity tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, as well as Apple HealthKit. To address privacy concerns, Bee employs a private computing architecture that processes audio in real-time and deletes the raw data. Transcripts are encrypted with user-controlled keys, ensuring that even Amazon employees cannot access them unless a user chooses to share the data.
By pricing its new Bee hardware aggressively below competitors, Amazon is strategically prioritizing market penetration and ecosystem lock-in over upfront device revenue, aiming to establish an early foothold in the nascent personal AI hardware space while driving recurring subscription income.
